Description :
Inventory Control:
Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to ensure product availability while minimizing excess or obsolete inventory.
Implement and manage inventory control policies and procedures to prevent stock outs and overstock situations.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile any discrepancies.
Demand Forecasting:
Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to develop accurate demand forecasts for products.
Use forecasting tools and historical data to predict inventory needs and plan replenishment accordingly.
Procurement:
Create purchase orders, track deliveries, and verify supplier invoices.
Inventory Analysis:
Analyze inventory data, and make recommendations for process improvements.
Monitor slow-moving and non-moving inventory and implement strategies to minimize losses.
Inventory Management Software:
Utilize inventory management software to track stock levels, monitor reorder points, and generate reports.
Ensure data accuracy and maintain the integrity of inventory records.
Stock Rotation and Shelf Management:
Team Leadership:
Supervise and mentor inventory team.
Promote a culture of teamwork and accountability within the inventory department.
Compliance:
Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in handling and storing inventory items.
Stay up-to-date with relevant industry regulations and best practices.
Reporting:
Generate regular reports on inventory performance, including stock levels, turnover rates, and cost analysis.
Present reports to management to support decision-making.
Problem Resolution:
Address and resolve any inventory-related issues or discrepancies promptly.
Implement corrective actions and preventive measures to avoid future problems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
Proven experience in inventory management or a related role, with a track record of improving efficiency and accuracy.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office applications.
