• Responsible for gathering requirements, installation, configuration, build and testing of backup and recovery software in a high availability environment
• In-depth experience in managing critical database and file restores
• Monitoring of scheduled backup jobs across multiple computing platforms
• Maintain backup policies and procedures, including the overseeing of the appropriate retention criteria
• Ensure the change management practices related to the backup environment are designed in alignment within the ITIL framework and industry best practices
• Provide technical leadership to others, demonstrates excellent technical aptitude, able to provide technical direction to team members and other departments
• Recommendations for tool and infrastructure technology upgrades, support, remediation, training, maintenance, end of life
• Design, install and manage storage solutions, including Develop technical design and support documentation
• Backup and Storage Devices Management and Availability
• Provisioning/Allocation of Disk Space

Qualifications for storage & backup

• At least 10 years’ experience in Enterprise Storage and Backup Solutions
• Strong knowledge on backup software technologies
• Skilled in all TSM functions, such as TSM server installation, configuration and administration, scripting & custom-select queries
• Provide input on TSM design, planning and implementation
• Knowledge of overall backup and storage design and related issues
• Lead in the planning and implementation of SAN storage solutions
• Knowledge on storage hardware technologies, such as Hitachi HUS-VM, IBM v3700, EMC VNX, NetApp
• Capacity and Performance understanding of bandwidth/throughput requirements and limits for apps/DBs in MB/s and I/O, by project, app, host or DB
• Windows OS Ability to interface with Customer & Tech Supt Teams
