Configures new systems and installs software as required.

Plans, forecasts, and implements resource requirements for network systems (including wireless) of moderate to high complexity.

Participates in network planning and network architecture design/engineering; evaluates new products.

Integrates communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission, signaling links, and protocols into complete network configurations.

Incorporates a variety of testing tools and techniques to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical problems associated with OEConnection’s systems hardware and software.

Implements necessary measures to limit system downtime and provides technical support to optimize system performance.

Works to repair network, and peripheral equipment; contacts vendors as appropriate to service or maintain systems when not accomplished in-house.

Develops and maintains best practice installation, configuration, tracking, and knowledge base methodologies and documentation.

Performs network problem resolution and assists in the development and documentation of technical standards; provides general ‘troubleshooting’ support through researching and resolving a variety of technical network problems.

Experience & Skills 

At least 6 years of progressively responsible experience working with network protocols, operating systems, and environments, including DHCP, DNS, routing, and load balancing.

Experience setting up and maintaining VoIP, BGP, LAN, and WAN connections.  Hardware experience with switches, routers, and hubs.

Demonstrated strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems.

Requires exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with the ability to coordinate issues throughout the Enterprise to resolve client issues.

Documentation and diagraming of projects and networks are a must.

Ability to research, analyze, and implement software patches and/or hardware changes to correct network deficiencies.

Must be able to work individually to support infrastructure/network environments and work as a team member regarding network design, implementation, and support.

Excellent communication skills when working with internal customers and third-party vendors on network architecture.
