Must be able to code PHP from scratch with hands-on experience. 5+ years of experience is preferable. • Experience in building responsive websites using Drupal/Drupal8 CMS, HTML/HTML5, CSS/CSS3, and JavaScript/jQuery. • Proficiency in integrating Drupal APIs into web applications • Knowledge of PHP, PHP files and theme functions, and knowledge of the Drupal theme layer. • Familiarity with building and managing a content management system (CMS) including managing regular site updates and back-end upgrades. • Strong knowledge of the common PHP or web server exploits and their solutions. • Strong knowledge of PHP web frameworks. • Understanding the fully synchronous behaviour of PHP. • Knowledge of Drupal implementation best practices, such as utilizing a CI tool, like Git or GitHub. • Experience integrating open source and third-party applications into existing systems. • Experience developing web solutions in Drupal and PHP implementations. • Ability to architect enterprise Drupal solutions including data, display, and information architecture • Advanced site-building experience including deep familiarity with Drupal modules such as CTools, Views, and Panels • Demonstrates ability to configure Drupal and create custom Drupal modules using the core API. • Develop Object-Oriented (OO) code and/or provide maintenance and enhancements to existing code based upon a solid understanding of OO design. • Ability to design performance-oriented architectures • Experience in integrating cloud services with Drupal • Eager to embrace current and emerging web technologies • Configure Drupal and create custom modules to meet requirements. • Thorough understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle and exposure to Agile or iterative SDLCs • Estimate and plan releases for a CMS implementation. • Estimate and plan iterative / agile releases.

Job Description

• Should have excellent verbal and written communication in English, as the role involves direct day to day interactions with US customer.

Duties and Responsibilities • Take care of development and support activities for an application in travel domain. • Help formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme. • Take lead engineer role in managing tasks in a sprint, reviewing the code of team members and ensuring first time quality of code • Write “clean”, well-designed code and follow industry best practices • Take part in DevOps and deployment activities • Work closely with back-end developers and customers to ensure an effective, visually appealing, and intuitive implementation. • Take complete ownership of the Drupal development team including requirement collection from the client, code reviews, code quality, testing. • Help in designing and implementing new features and functionality, establishing, and guiding the website’s architecture, ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS. • Should be flexible to work with the client team till about 0030 hrs IST. Start time can be adjusted accordingly, with typical start time at 1530 hrs IST. • Develop Object-Oriented (OO) code and/or provide maintenance and enhancements to existing code based upon a solid understanding of OO design. • Conduct multiple levels of testing including unit, system, integration, and performance. • Anticipate issues and risks at the module level and escalate appropriately. • Work with business users to gather requirements, write functional and technical specifications. • Construct conceptual and technical designs that include the use of Object-Oriented (OO) techniques.

Any Additional Information/Specifics • Experience with setting up CI/CD environments is a plus. • Experience with Agile development. Scrum and DevOps principles are preferable. • Must have experience with one or more source code management tools like GIT • Excellent troubleshooting and both verbal and written communication skills • Attention to detail • Proficient in writing technical documentation like user stories and high level requirements • Ability to work with a minimal level of technical supervision while responding efficiently to issues as they arise.
