  • Position Summary
  •  
  • Plans and coordinates the design, installation, administration, and usage of server, storage, virtualization, and other distributed technologies. Conducts system analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies. Coordinates communication and support between user-community and the technical/operations functions of IT in relationship with all Windows/ Linux functions.  Provides recommendations and technology roadmaps to management in the research, design, and development of effective operating programs, systems, procedures, and practices.

  • System Engineer (Web Applications) Requirements
  •  
  • 2 Years + administration/troubleshooting web application environments
  • Windows Server Administration
  • Linux Server Administration (RHEL 6 a plus)
  • Basic network troubleshooting and understanding
  • Patch Management
  • DNS
  • .Net Framework, Java Environments
  • Web Servers: IIS, Apache Tomcat
  • Familiarity working with Databases: MS SQL, MySQL, Mongo, Postgres, Azure SQL
  • Working knowledge of Load Balancing
  • Basic understanding of identity management
  • Basic understanding of API s
  • Basic understanding of application topologies
  • Basic understanding of Containers (Docker)
  •  
  • 1 Years + administration/troubleshooting VMware Environments
  • DRS/HA
  • VSAN
  • VMware Orchestrator
