Job Description Opportunity We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Developer. This role is responsible for developing and enhancing Mareana’s products in supply chain and unstructured data. The ideal candidate should have experience in software engineering, end-to-end microservice application development, data wrangling, and building data pipelines. Candidates with solid knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, and Linux fundamentals will have an added advantage. What You'll Do
• Implement features for Mareana’s products/projects in Python by developing reusable and scalable code with automated testing.
• Deploy Mareana's products on client’s cloud or on-premises infrastructure.
• Evaluate technologies to improve Mareana's products.
• Ensure that the technical integrity and quality of the applications/products is maintained across their lifetime, contributing to the development of any technical changes being proposed.
• Develop a technical understanding of a component or sub-component within an application/product, providing support for technical queries and issue fixes. Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of work experience as a Python developer
• Proficiency in Python and its fundamentals. Strong understanding of data structures and algorithms. Knowledge of PySpark is a plus.
• Comfortable working in the Linux environment and a solid understanding of Linux operating system fundamentals.
• Experience with computer vision, OCR/HTR, and AI/ML libraries is a plus
• Knowledge of code coverage and unit testing
• Knowledge of software engineering, design principles, and OOP concepts. Experience in developing modular, scalable, and production code.
• Familiar with CI/CD and DevOps, including containerization using Docker (Kubernetes is a plus).
• Knowledge of some of the following technologies is a plus: Neo4j, InfluxDB, Grafana, Prometheus, Kafka and Celery.
