  1. PHP 7 & PHP 8 proficiency. - PHP 5 is not required but helpful for working some of our legacy applications.
  2. Atleast one modern PHP framework (Laravel/ Symphony)
  3. Front End JavaScript – Modern JavaScript fundamentals with familiarity with a modern JS Framework such as React or Vue
  4. MySQL/MariaDB/AWS RDS – Basic fundamentals for querying relational data and basic database design. Optimization capabilities are a plus but not required for this role.
  5. Unit testing experience using PHPUnit or comparable PHP Unit Testing framework, prefer experience in applying Test Driven Development (TDD) practices
  6. Object Oriented Programming (OOP) expertise, familiarity with Domain Driven Design (DDD) preferred.
  7. REST API Design using OpenAPI Spec/Swagger
  8. Linux system administration – Basic fundamentals of working in a Linux environment. This would be familiarity with core unix commands and tools such as ssh.
  9. HTML – Understanding of web mark up and modern web lay out. Experience in Bootstrap is a plus
