- Compliance to Company Inspection & Corrosion control manual and all HSE and other company policies in line of work.
- Facilitate process unit wise RBI workshops in line with project priority plan
- Coordinate with stakeholders in Inspection & Corrosion, Process Engineering, Operations,
Process safety, Maintenance and other disciplines for RBI data collation pre & post workshops
- Closely coordinate with Corrosion & process teams for Fluid stream review and Corrosion loops identification at PFD level
- Coordinate with stakeholders to comprehensively identify and document the corrosion loop
boundaries, inclusions/exclusions, stream assumptions, material groups, fluid constituents and other relevant information required for RBI assessment.
- Facilitate identification of piping circuits and grouping in line with Corrosion loops in close
coordination with Inspection, Corrosion & NDT teams. Implement documentation at P&ID level with support from RBI Data services.
- Carry out thorough review of corrosion control documents, Operating manual, Historical
Inspection and NDT records to validate data prepared for RBI software input. Coordinate with stakeholders and RBI systemization services to ensure data availability within timelines.
- Carry out thorough review of process parameters, changes since commissioning, Current and legacy degradation mechanisms to accurately document potential degradation mechanisms in consultation with Company corrosion engineers
- Coordinate with Corrosion and Process teams to develop Integrity Operating Window (IOW) for all process units as part of RBI plan
- Carry out Risk assessment in line with the company RBI software (RBI software shall be
standardised package currently under finalization with ADNOC). The RBI SME shall have
experience to carry out quantitative RBI assessment in line with API 581 RBI software. Validate Risk assessment output in coordination with Inspection, corrosion & process teams.
- Closely coordinate with RBI systemization services team to ensure delivery of RBI report in line with RBI workshops in ADNOC RBI software.
- Develop component wise Inspection plan / Written scheme of Inspection detailing Inspection and NDT requirements, coverage, location and frequency as part of the RBI report.
- Prepare RBI reports and summary illustrating key outcome of RBI assessment like Corrosion loop summary, Potential damage mechanism, Risk distribution across process unit, Highest risk components, Action plan (Immediate and Turnaround) etc
- The RBI SME shall have minimum 10 years experience working as a client RBI Specialist or on
behalf of client directly for Operating process unit RBI assessment for Refinery/Petrochemical facility using API 581 compliant software solution. Proof of hands-on RBI software application experience is mandatory.
- Good understanding of Inspection practices, Process and Corrosion mechanism is mandatory. Graduation in Mechanical, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or equivalent is mandatory. API 580 certification shall be mandatory. API and NACE certification relevant to Integrity assurance of static equipment is preferred.
- The RBI SME shall be well versed to manage their activity and a weekly progress tracker against planned activities is required to be submitted.
- Support and train UAE national engineers in key concepts of Risk Based Inspection and work
process in conducting RBI assessments.
