Greenlots is looking for a hand-on Technical Manager to join our team in the design and development of Greenlots product vision into operational code. Specifically, the Technical Manager will join a team that builds an integrated product suite of Enterprise applications in the EV Charging network domain. The Candidate needs to be hands-on, technically sound and will lead implementation of one or more components of the product.
What you will do:
- Maintain ownership and responsibility of one or more component of the product.
- Manage and execute against release plan and delivery commitments.
- Manage day-to-day activities of the engineering team within an agile/scrum environment.
- Manage, mentor, and maintain high-class engineering team, define and measure OKR of the team.
- Design, implement and maintain one or more components of the product
- Continuously evaluate technologies, influence and drive architecture and design discussion.
- Develop consumer-facing features and architectural components to meet company demands in timely manner.
- Be the expert for technical aspects of the product.
- Provide accurate work estimates for proposed projects.
- Actively lead or participate in resolving key technical issues that impact the performance of the team.
- Proven experience successfully optimizing applications for scalability.
- Work with Developers, SQE and Operations to ensure high quality of delivered product.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams in an Agile development environment.
- Cross-train other Java developers on product features.
- Committed to security practices in policy and delivery.
- Show vigilance in reporting of information, security vulnerabilities whether personal devices, corporate assets, services offered to customers, or office environment.

- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering or equivalent experience required.
- 8+ years of software development experience.
- 5+ years of Java server-side design and development experience.
- 3+ years managing software development teams including hands-on architectural or distributed systems experience
- Highly proficient in J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot and Hibernate.
- Distributed Caching (Redis), Queuing technologies (ActiveMQ, Kafka), Elastic Search.
- Excellent knowledge of RESTful APIs.
- Experience with Data Model, SQL, and No-SQL.
- Excellent knowledge of Microservices Architecture and implementation.
- Experience with GitHub/Bitbucket, Jira, Scrum, SonarCloud and CI/CD processes.
- Working knowledge of Linux.
- Experience working on software-as-a-service (SaaS), large scale distributed systems and relational/No-SQL databases.
- Experience working in a small team setting along with offshore development team.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills: proven ability to lead both vertically and horizontally to achieve results; thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced, environment and do what it takes to deliver results.
- Committed to security practices in policy and delivery.
- Show vigilance in reporting of information, security vulnerabilities whether personal devices, corporate assets, services offered to customers, or office environment.
- Willing to participate in additional security and privacy trainings.
- Willing to be a model citizen/mentor in security practices for Greenlots.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with AWS, RDS, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience with APM tool like Stackify, NewRelic.
- Experience in Electric Grid management solutions.
- Experience in Angular or similar JavaScript frameworks.
